Gioacchino Poletto Photography

About

I’m a software developer and Fractional CTO with 29 years of experience, but there’s a side of me I’ve kept mostly private until now: my passion for photography.

Like writing novels under a pseudonym, photography has been something I’ve done quietly, for myself, a way to see the world differently, to capture moments that speak without words. Where code builds invisible systems, photography makes the invisible visible.

I’m drawn to images that tell stories, that reveal something unexpected in the ordinary. Whether it’s a fleeting expression, an unusual angle, or the way light transforms a familiar scene, I look for moments that make you pause and see things differently.

As a person with a disability, I’ve learned to notice details others might overlook, and perhaps that’s what shapes my eye behind the lens. I approach photography the same way I approach code: looking for simplicity, elegance, and meaning.

Based in Switzerland with my family, I’ve lived in Italy, Albania, and Hungary, and each place has left its mark on how I see and frame the world.

This store is my first step in sharing what I’ve been quietly creating all these years. I hope you find something here that resonates with you.
